Hinrich’s Financial Corporate Benefits – Online Enrollment Design

Hinrich’s lowers the cost of sales and gains 75% acceptance for online insurance application.

Hinrich’s, a high-end supplemental disability
insurance provider, partnered with First
Union National Bank in a new venture to
sell insurance to First Union employees
via online enrollment.

The company
needed an online application mirroring its
current sales process, yet with customized,
easy-to-use graphic interface and
technology designed to attract high income
employees. After consulting with
both Hinrich’s and First Union internal
staffs to determine the target audience
and goals for the online application, Vialogix
built a user-friendly web interface and
functioning source code allowing viewers
to view insurance program options and
securely enroll online. The application and
content were specifically tailored to bank
executives, with site offerings determined
after goals and target audience were established.
During the same time, Vialogix
worked closely with First Union web staff
to ensure the new application was consistent
with the bank’s existing online applications
in terms of design, message, etc.

The results: a reduction in administrative
costs (reduced paperwork, man-hours,
etc.) for both Hinrich’s and First Union and
an impressive 75% online acceptance of
the bank’s high-income executives.
