Vialogix Launches Redesigned First Citizens Bank Web Site

CHARLOTTE, NC – February 6, 2003 – Vialogix, a Charlotte-based Web design firm, has completed work on First Citizens Bank’s new Web site. The site, developed with input from customers, places financial information at users’ fingertips to help them meet real-life personal and business needs.

“The updated firstcitizens.com gives customers what they’ve told us they want – an easy-to-use online resource that allows them to control their finances,” said Jeff Ward, executive vice president for the bank’s retail segment. “The site demonstrates how First Citizens can help people make the most of their money at every stage of their lives.”

“First Citizens is known for their outstanding customer service,” said Rob Norris, president of Vialogix. “Companies who aren’t customer-focused can’t fake that relationship online. As a result, it was relatively easy to listen to First Citizens customer base and improve their online experience to match that of their branch and personal interactions. We created a Web site with information architecture and design that allows potential customers to find products and services based on their needs.”

The redesigned site takes into consideration customers’ online preferences. The home page provides easy-to-find access to many of the most requested customer services such as product applications, account information, customer service questions and branch locations.

“Ultimately, we developed the site to help First Citizens customers find what they need. We also designed it to save the company money in fewer repetitive customer service calls and improved online service,” said Norris.
