Vialogix-designed Web Site for National Gypsum Earns National Recognition
CHARLOTTE, NC – October 29, 2002 – BtoB Magazine named the National Gypsum web site, designed by Charlotte-based Vialogix, to its list of the top 100 sites on the Internet for 2002.
The magazine, which is aimed at marketing executives, ranked the top web sites in terms of marketing effectiveness. The NetMarketing Top 100 list contains sites from such companies as 3Com, American Express, Microsoft, General Motors, Merrill Lynch, Apple and Bank of America.
The BtoB Magazine editors called the National Gypsum site a “Very functional site. Plenty of case studies and white papers. Vast amount of info about specific products, including material safety data. ‘Tech Talk’ provides advice on a range of topics.”
A key factor in making BtoB’s NetMarketing list is a site’s ability to ”... engage visitors in a sale – or get them as close as possible to that point. And [the site] must provide resources that will keep users coming back.”
Josh Buchanan, Vialogix project lead for the National Gypsum site, explains how his team created a sales-focused site: ”’Brand’ on the web doesn’t follow the traditional rules: it’s essentially about the experience. Getting your customers the information they need keeps them coming back. National Gypsum already knew their key audience was architects, because architects greatly influence the purchasing process. Vialogix helped National Gypsum focus their Web experience through interviews and research. This created a site that not only helps architects get the information they need, but also provides an opportunity to introduce them to other National Gypsum products.”
