Vialogix Completes Redesign of Silicon Valley Firm’s Web Site

CHARLOTTE, NC – July 8, 2002 – Vialogix, a Charlotte-based web design firm, redesigned the web site for Hearst Corporation-owned First DataBank.

First DataBank selected Vialogix for the project following a nationwide search. “We chose Vialogix because they were excellent at building a relationship with us first before putting together a proposal,” said Era Prakash, assistant product manager. “This helped them gain a better understanding of our company, products and customers that was reflected in their proposal.”

The redesign focused on four primary objectives: reinforce First Databank’s brand, strengthen communications with business prospects, improve customer service and increase human resources functionality.

To ensure they met their client’s objectives, Vialogix did an extensive competitive analysis, conducted customer interviews and user testing.

The work by the Vialogix technical and creative teams included updates to the site’s information architecture, the user interface of key functions and the graphical content. Vialogix also added secure online ordering for some of the organization’s products, an online job search and application process to the site.

To make timely content updates easier for the First DataBank business staff, Vialogix created a custom content management system into the redesigned site. Staff members can add new content, like current press releases and job opening listings, without requiring the help of internal technical staff.
