Vialogix, Red Hat CEOs featured on PBS
CHARLOTTE, NC – May 18, 2001 – Vialogix President Rob Norris put his communications background to a televised test during a recent episode of “Carolina Business Review.”
Norris appeared on the May 11 broadcast of the regional PBS show to take part in an interview with Matthew Szulik, CEO & President of Durham-based technology provider Red Hat.
Norris was invited to participate by show host Chris William. Dr. Ben Nunnally, UNC-Charlotte finance professor, joined William and Norris as interviewers.
Among other things, Norris got to ask Szulik what products Red Hat might soon introduce (Answer: possibly a mid-market database product). But the most rewarding comments came after the interview.
“Off camera, I got a great introduction to Red Hat, a company we actually buy operating systems from,” he said. “Our developers have used concepts from the open source community to help build a number of Vialogix client applications, as well as entire online businesses. And we have contributed solutions back to that community where appropriate.”
Red Hat is a leading provider of open source technology, including the award-winning Red Hat Linux operating system platform. For more information: http://www.redhat.com/
