Vialogix’ Norris Speaks at UGA Media Seminar
CHARLOTTE, NC – March 30, 2001 – Vialogix President Rob Norris recently paid a visit to his graduate school alma mater, but it wasn’t for a football game tailgate or revelry-soaked class reunion (although he’s certainly up for either…).
Norris traveled to the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, this past winter to attend “9 to 9: The Athens New Media Experience,” where he appeared as a guest panelist during the all-day media seminar.
UGA’s New Media Institute hosted the event.
Dr. Scott Shamp, New Media Institute Director, invited Norris to sit on the “New Media Elsewhere” panel.
Norris earned a masters degree in mass communication from the University of Georgia.
The seminar was held for students, faculty and media professionals to discuss developments and trends in the new media field. The “New Media Elsewhere” panel focused discussion of developments outside the Athens region. Norris spoke about the Charlotte area’s commitment to building UNC Charlotte into a technology force, among other topics. More than 200 people attended the conference.
