Thinkstock Partners with Vialogix to Launch Online Stock Content Community
First Site in New Online Community: Cloudstock.com
CHARLOTTE, NC, – April 5, 2000 – Thinkstock LLC announced today the launch of its first online collection of royalty-free stock images at “http://www.cloudstock.com/”http://www.cloudstock.com/, a niche-driven imagery site of the new Thinkstock community. Built by Internet development company Vialogix Communications, Inc., Thinkstock is an online stock content community designed to be the trusted resource for creative professionals who utilize royalty-free stock photography, digital video and illustration. Over the next several months, Thinkstock will launch a series of niche-driven Internet sites developed by Vialogix.
“Thinkstock.com has extremely rich media to offer, but customers must experience a usable site first and foremost,” states Rob Norris, president of Vialogix. “Our teams worked together to build a customer-focused site architecture that will show off the content.” Each Thinkstock site will utilize Vialogix’s user-focused design approach and e-commerce engine with Shopping Carts and Lightbox tools as well as personalization, similar selections, dynamic search functionality, and built-in browser-based administration tools.
With high-resolution images that can be purchased and downloaded online, Cloudstock.com and future sites in the Thinkstock community incorporate cutting-edge content, easy navigation and a custom-built e-commerce engine. The Vialogix-Thinkstock team enlisted input from experienced stock photographers, editors, Internet designers, digital artists and clients who identified a need for a better way to find stock images. Thinkstock.com users include graphic design firms, Internet design firms, advertising agencies, corporate communication departments and other individuals utilizing high-quality digital imagery.
The brainchild of stock photographer Ron Chapple, Thinkstock was created as a better way to serve the commercial stock user through a community of stock sites. “Our goal is to protect our clients’ valuable time by creating specific content-niches to ensure great results for every image search,” says Chapple. “We’re confident that our carefully edited images and pull-down menus will take you to the image you’re looking for in minutes, not hours. We do not want to inundate our clients with hundreds of unrelated images when searching.”
